Okay, Ms. Blogster, you can take down the Kilroy was here drawing. I only left it to let you know I was here Sunday morning. If you want Cindy to try to keep her eyes open, give her incentive and don't make her look at my terrible drawing! Kiljoy was here!
In fact, I was so heartened by seeing Cindy's progress, live and direct. I think it is good and safe that she is getting a trach today to spare erosion of her trachea and vocal chords. It also will be easier to wean her off the ventilator when she is able to, and maintain her airway as well. Not to mention that she may be able to eat and talk once she learns the new technique. You and your whole family were lovely hosts and Rita and Mary are Guardian Angels much like you. Love, love, love..... Nike ___________________________________________________________________________

well i'm another example being cindy-needy. i made a cute little video for you with my phone - i was in ben's dorm room and you could even hear charlie flapping his ears! but i cannot figure out how to get it to you. deb suggested utube but i don't have a clue and am a little nervous about posting on utube. maybe ben will help me when he comes home for thanksgiving, but he doesn't have your patience and understanding. i'm doomed! i enjoyed seeing nike's video - haven't seen her in years! i'm following deb's blog daily and am so happy to hear that you're doing better and getting stronger every day. i know you hate being stuck in the hospital and dependent on the machines. keep up your great work - we can't wait to have you back! love and hugs - barbara _____________________________________________________________________________

I am so relieved and happy you are getting better. It's so good to hear you are being transferred. I know you'll continue to improve and work hard to gain your strength back. I think about you every day and send you much lots of love and energy.

OMG! It is a Chanukah miracle!
I got a call today from a familiar number and voice: it was CINDY! LIVE AND DIRECT!!!
She was speaking with her new found trach voice and was clear as a bell. She brought tears to my eyes. I could not believe it and am bursting with happiness for this amazing turn of events. I saw the posted picture of her paying bills and noticed, "Cindy's hands look normal!" After losing 100 pounds in a little over 4 weeks, she now has model's hands! Her voice was music to my ears. Thank you, Lord. Much obliged....
Cindy,
Just wanted you to know that Tom and I are thinking about you and wishing you the best during the holidays.
Get well soon. Miss you!
Tim
Day 40
Who knew that Cindy has become the new Elton John with a collection of eyeglasses that dazzle and amaze? Even I commented on a couple of stunners!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ices. Something else!
